i'll prob always hate rudy as a manga/anime character, in such a cool world with lots of interesting characters, here we have an mc whose entire character seems to be about nothing more than sex, and at the same time creepy relationships between his cousin and slyphie whose more like a child. Story would have been way more interesting with a mc who explores this world and gets himself into all sorts of trouble instead of some 15 year old who just wants to merry and retire

In the novel, Roxy didn't "comfort" Rudeus like that. She starts going on about how they could "do it" and then starts suggesting that maybe her body isn't "adequate" enough for him and he caves, and according to his narration, violently pushes her onto the bed (granted he has hardly been eating for like 2 weeks after seeing Zenith's condition) and then goes at it, saying that he basically took his frustration out on her. Then, after waking up, he thinks to himself how the fuck he's supposed to explain the situation to Sylphy. The anime changed it so that it seems like Roxy was the only active one in the situation.

Crazy part is, in the LN it was kinda reversed, with Rudy making the first move.

This episode just skipped too much from LN to actually make it make more sense. In here Roxy just looks like an asshole predator and Rudeus like he didn't care enough. They prob did the best they could, but still could definitely have been done better. "Without the context of "Roxy has already tried to claw Rudeus out of depression every day for over a month," the scene makes zero sense. Without the scene of Elinelise giving her the idea of sex as a last resort to jumpstart any kind of emotional response from Rudeus, the scene makes even less sense. By not showing Roxy understands his current family situation, the context of sacrificing herself and her virginity just as a desperate prayer to help him is criminal. From her perspective, she had no hope of reciprocation and was willing to put how this might hurt her aside; without showing this she comes off as painfully tactless and boneheadedly selfish. She put her needs aside to save the person who saved her. Instead? It looks like she's taking advantage of someone vulnerable to help herself." - Taken from another comment There's so much more than this too. On the context of making Roxy his wife, Elinalise actually lied to Rudeus and said Roxy is pregnant, to force Rudeus take responsability and marry her. She also said she would even think on sleeping with Rudeus to try to make him better, which is when Roxy took action first.

Roxy seducing Rudy while he's grieving is nasty work even if Sylph will be cool with it.

Two things that are becoming very apparent to me seeing reactors watch this show: 1. The characters in this show do not behave the same way like most rash and immature characters do in so many other anime (particularly shonen anime). Obviously Kaiju, the fights, and some of the concepts in the show are ridiculous and there for spectacle, but as far as the way people behave and the way the world/systems work in this universe it is extremely grounded. You have to really understand these are adults trying to make the best decisions for the most people as possible. 2. Reactors seriously need to get out more. Idk what it is, but so many of you just don’t get certain things. “This is not the time to be asking Mina that…” bro it is 100% THE time to talk to Mina about that. It could literally be the last time they ever speak to each other and they are both fully aware of that 🙄

Zenith compromised on her religion by allowing Paul to take Lilia as his second wife, since she ultimately didn't want to break the family apart. Paul's prestige in the house did fall significantly, but ultimately he was forgiven. Rudeus had promised fidelity and repeatedly stated that since the idea of Sylphie getting with another man would destroy him, he wouldn't do the same to her. But Sylphie has met more members of Rudeus' bloodline than Rudeus has and they're all womanizers. The setting doesn't have mental health as a science and the only professions that relate to it are barkeeps, priests and prostitutes. The party was having a discussion as to what to do with Rudeus. They floated the usual plan of getting him to a brothel to vent, but a random girl wouldn't do it for him. Elinalise was asked if she'd help since it's her specialty, but her relationship with him precludes it, which is how Roxy learned Rudeus was married. The others concluded he'll pick himself up eventually and they'll leave the city. Roxy knew better that he wouldn't be able to get out of the hole he's in, so she took matters into her own hands. But what got him up and about wasn't the sex. That was just a reset button, but the talk afterwards was what duct taped him back together so he can get home for proper healing.

The anime already showed how Sylphie might feel about this. Obviously the him taking a concubine if she cant get pregnant (but she did get pregnant so it doesnt apply anymore) but also another scene. In season 2 cour 1 before she even revealed herself to him, when she's bodyguarding for ariel in the city, she wonders if Rudy would chase after women still even after getting married, and says well his dad did so probably. So she know what this dude is like and was probably expecting this lol

I don't think its said anytime in the anime but when rudy got married to sylphy she said that she expects rudy to have more wives and she said that when they come she will make sure to be respectful towards them and make them feel welcome as long as rudy doesn't forget her Fun fact sylphy is very self conscious about her sexual attractiveness as she feels she not big enough And the same thing can be said for roxy as she feels like she's to small and childlike to be attractive to anybody But the community would say other wise

They cut out the part where Rudy has been locked in his room for 2 weeks and he wasn't eating so elinalise kept pushing for Roxy to go and comfort him.

While they are both ultimately in the wrong for what happened they are at least trying to make it right so that they can all still be happy in the end like what happened with Paul and his two wives. We’ll just have to see if Sylphie accepts to see if that’s possible next episode.

3 things, but first to be clear i still think Blitzo was an asshole to many people. my comments below are not trying to negate or ingore the faults or mistakes Blitzo made. however everyone seems to be on team Stolas. so his point doesnt need to be explained by me. 1. The Striker incident isnt fair. He was taking his daughter to the vet for her mandatory shot so she doesnt get sick because he cares for Loona. And he knows he is the only one She trusts enough to bring her. To add to that point Stella ordered intial hit, that Blitzo DID stop, and openly talked about it on the phone right across from Stolas. If stolas had bothered to listen to her he wouldve known about the first hit., and a potentional follow up. 2. Stolas claims he never looks down on Blitzo, but he refers to Blitzo as " imp" many times, which in Blitzos experiecne is an insult, of rank and class. Not to mention, Blitzo was BOUGHT for loose change, and a condom. by Stolas's father. to be his friend. As far as Blitzo is concerned he is just Stolas's pet, a thing to amuse him. and Stolas hasnt done that much to break that sterotype. Stolas hasnt one time asked Blitzo how HE feels in the relationship. Stolas assumed he felt trapped or caged, but BLitzo felt fine as he said " it is a tranactional fucking" Stolas added his own opinions, forced them on Blitz, bumrushed him with an ultimatum. and then refused to try and understand how Blitzo felt. 3. Notice how Blitz slides between the banisters mimicking being a prisoner, but Verosika kicks the bannister so she can be free and have her legs normal. he feels trapped even though he was given "freedom" from stolas.
